Okay, so we know ‘cleaning’ in a shared student house can cause a few arguments. Even worse, passive-aggressive post-it notes stuck… everywhere.
We’ve put together a simple checklist to keep on top of your student household cleaning, and most importantly to make it easy. This isn’t a full clean checklist, just little things that everyone can to do to make life cleaner and easier.
It’s cliched, but ‘many hands make light work’. If each person in the house chooses one day a week each and dedicate one hour to cleaning, it will make a hell of a difference. Perhaps even a cleaning rota, although, this only works for a few.
At the end of the day, the communal areas get used by everyone, so it’s fair everyone contributes. If you want to leave your own room in a tip, that’s okay. But do pull your weight within the other areas it will make for happier relations.

A list of jobs to get into the habit of doing on a regular basis – it works!
